Indonesia and China tend to stay in the news and most of times not for good reasons. They made the news recently because of the same reason when a flight to Bali from Guangzhou had to turn back after traveling for 90 minutes when one crew member noticed that plane's front door wasn't closed properly.
The flight was operated by Jakarta-based Sriwijaya Air, and was carrying 180 passengers. They had to make a U-turn after realizing this critical mistake. This incidence occurred on Thursday 23rd February 2017. Aircraft company official confirmed to the reporters that it happened due to a malfunction in the cockpit indicators as they inaccurately showed the doors to be closed properly.
While most passengers landed back on Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport decided to wait 30 minutes for reboarding, around 20 passengers decided not to continue their journey on the same aircraft. They opted to negotiate for refunds.
