Lion Air and AirAsia airlines ground handling services have been frozen by Indonesia's Transport Ministry. Lion Air isn't allowed to operate it's ground handling services at Soekarno airport in Jakarta, while AirAsia Indonesia at Ngurah Rai airport in Bali for 5 days. These restrictions have been applied because of the incident happened on Monday, where 47 passengers of AirAsia flight QZ509 traveling from Singapore to Bali were wrongly exited on the airport via domestic terminal. These incidents lead to a chaos and resulted in causing inconvenience to a large number of international passengers not getting their passport stamped at immigration.
NTT or East Nusa Tenggarra has taken the initiative of its own kind by kicking off it's first East Indonesia International cycling event on the Island of Flores to promote the tourism. In this event hundreds of cyclists from 16 different countries have already arrived to compete from May 18th to 23rd May on the Island. The event will be held in 5 stages on a 743 Km track across the spectacular landscape tracks across the region, starting from Larantuka to Labaun Bajo.
While everything is going smooth in Bali, a recent flight disappearance of Egypt Air Flight MS804 carrying 69 people from Paris to Cairo has caused a massive scare in the tourist community. The airbus was carrying 10 crew staff and 59 passengers, it was scheduled to depart Paris at 11:09 pm on Wednesday. The plane disappearance has been confirmed by Egypt's civil aviation at 10miles/16km within Egypt's airspace.
