Bali officials have
finally started installed the wiring systems on the main streets of Ubud under
the ground.
Made Mahayastra, Regent of Gianyar District,
acknowledged that one of the infrastructure projects scheduled over ten years
ago was eventually completed under his tenure. “I'm overjoyed that we were
finally able to carry out the project to construct the wiring system for our
tourism area in Ubud beneath the ground, which had been planned since Cok Ace's
tenure over ten years ago. This will assist in clearing our sky of those
tangled electrical systems.” On Monday (13/9), Mahayastra stated.
According to Mahayastra, the federal government fully
sponsored this initiative through the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program
to assist Gianyar's economic activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. “The
federal government has contributed around USD 2 million (IDR 28 billion) to
this project.” Mahayastra has been added. Many local activities, such as
religious and burial ceremonies, were disrupted prior to this project because
to the disorganized wire installation.
He further stated that the installation is scheduled
to be completed within two months. “Our workers have been planting between 7 to
10 metres of cable per day, so this project is projected to be completed in two
months.” And we are confident that Ubud will continue to be the finest tourist
destination for both local and foreign visitors, particularly with our cultural
tourism.” Mahayastra concluded. Aside from the electrical cable, officials also
restored the telephone wiring beneath the ground and repaired the walkways in
the surrounding neighborhood.
