ultra beach bali
Ultra Beach Bali returns to the beachside venue of Potato Head Beach Club in Seminyak, and adjoins the Resistance World Tour, right after Singapore and before heading off to the Philippines. The Bali leg of the Ultra Worldwide Asian calendar is set to bring together electronic digital music enthusiasts and partygoers again this September 15-16, with another live show to remember. Its bumper line-up of big-name EDM DJs includes Afrojack and deadmau5.
Last year’s Ultra Beach Bali debut sold out before the line-up was even announced, and this year it will surely be another packed spectacle. The main Seminyak beachfront venue at Potato Head gears up again with cutting-edge stage production combined with stunning laser and visual effects and, most importantly, quality sound systems to pump out the tracks from the heavyweight performers. Here’s the full line-up of among the world-famous DJs slated to perform this year.
Ultra Beach Bali – Line-Up
Afrojack (headliner)
Dutch DJ Nick van de Wall - aka Afrojack - released his debut album Forget the World in 2014, seven years after releasing In Your Face under his stage name. In 2015, he was featured in David Guetta's single Hey Mama, together with Nicki Minaj and Bebe Rexha. He is frequently listed in the top 10 of DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs.
deadmau5 (headliner)
Canadian progressive house DJ Joel Thomas Zimmerman - aka deadmau5 - has released tracks and mixes that have been included in numerous compilations, including Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance. He released his debut album, Get Scraped, in 2005, with others in the following years. He has received six Grammy nominations to date.
Dubfire (headliner)
Iranian-American house and techno DJ Ali Shirazinia - aka Dubfire - was part of Grammy Award-winning progressive duo, Deep Dish. Now, as Dubfire, his style leans more toward techno. His 2007 singles Emissions and Ribcage were listed among the top 100 all-time charted tracks, and he’s won Best Minimal Artist and Best Techno Artist from online music store Beatport.
Mar+in Garri× (headliner)
Dutch DJ and producer Martijn Gerard Garritsen - aka Mar+in Garri× - is ranked among the top 10 on DJ Mag. He released Proxy as a free download in 2014, and premiered Turn Up the Speakers from his collaboration with Afrojack at the previous Ultra Music Festival. Who knows what track he’ll be surprising us with at this year’s Ultra Beach Bali.
Anna
Brazilian female DJ and producer Anna Miranda has been rocking clubs in her home country since the age of 15 and, when she’s not playing as resident DJ at the famous D-Edge club in Sao Paulo, she tours across Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Czech Republic and basically the world over at the best electronic music events with her deep and driving tech house.
Galantis
Galantis is a Swedish electronic music duo teamed up by Christian "Bloodshy" Karlsson from the indie pop band Miike Snow, and Linus Eklö - aka Style of Eye. Their 2014 hit single, Runaway (U & I), continues to stream on the airwaves worldwide.
Gryffin
New York City-based multi-instrumentalist and producer, Dan Griffith - aka Gryffin - became widely known for his melody-rich style of house music, through groovy remixes such as Troy Sivan’s Youth and Maroon 5’s Animals.
