1. Sate Varieties
Sate or Satay is the perfect blend of skewered grilled meat marinated perfectly and served with a yummy spicy sauce. It is usually made with the diced or sliced meat of chicken, goat, mutton beef, pork, fish, tofu eggs or minced blends. Bali has its own perfect variation called sate lilit and it is made from all kind of meat mentioned above and add turtle meat to it as well which is then mixed with a blend of vegetables, coconut, coconut milk and spices. Rather than being skewered it is wrapped around Bamboo, sugar cane or lemon grass sticks for grilling and you can enjoy it with or without sauce.
Nasi Ayam and Nasi Campur
This is what you can call Bali's own version of chicken rice. It is also considered as the street delicious food of Bali as you can find it at almost every small eatery and restaurant throughout the island. This dish is served with white rice with a lot of variants of Bali including Babi Buling or betutu as the main serving mixed with veggies and iconic spicy hot sambal matah, it can also be served with a bowl of soup as well. Bebek and Ayam Betutu
This is one of the most iconic dish of Bali, it is a dish of stuffed chicken or duck with traditional spices, wrapped in a banana leaf and is buried in coal for 6-7 hours after being tucked in tight in a banan tree trunk. It is one of the most delicious juicy meat dish you will come across.
Babi Guling
Babi Guling is an all time favorite feasting dish for the foreigners specially from the western side. It is spit roast pig stuffed with amazing traditional spices for the right flavor with perfect vegetable mixes slowly rolled over coal fire.
