Travelers and visitors wanting to enter Bali have to provide a negative antigen rapid test no older than 3 days before their arrival in the province. This is another last minute update of the travel requirement for the year end holiday.
The requirements have been changing rapidly as few days ago Bali officials announced under government's instructions the requirement of PCR swab test for the air passengers coming to Bali and antigen rapid test requirements for those traveling via road and other modes of transportation. Then it was changed to both PCR swab test and antigen rapid tests — are valid for seven days instead of the two days as announced earlier.
Officials of Covid-19 task force issued a circular which announced the validity of antigen rapid test for three days only on all forms of public and private transportation. The rule applies to all trips into and within Java and Bali.
While all travelers are required to fill their health card electronically the children under 12 traveling with their parents are exempted.
The circular set the Christmas and New Year break period to begin on Dec. 19 and last until Jan. 8, when officials in Bali previously said that the requirements are applicable until Jan. 4. In fact, the same announcement is still up on the Bali provincial government website at the time of publication, as you can see in the screengrab below:
