Officials
from the Bali Tourism Agency have confirmed that the government has planned to
partially reopen the international travel corridor.
I Putu Astawa, the Head of the Bali Tourism Agency,
acknowledged that he had lately learned of the government's plan to partially
reopen the international transport corridor in the near future. “In response to
tourism enterprises in Bali's demand to open our border for foreign passengers,
the government finally plans to test the reopening of Bali's international
travel corridor in the near future.” Astawa stated this on Sunday (5/9).
According to Astawa, Bali is now ready to accommodate
foreign visitors because it has previously met all of the standards for opening
the border to internal travelers. “We have prepared all of the standards, such
as vaccination all tourist workers and certifying the accommodation businesses
with Clean Health Safety and Environment (CHSE) with tight preventative methods
before they can operate and receive visitors.” Astawa elaborated.
However, Astawa cautioned the administration to use
extreme caution during implementation by partially reopening the travel bubble
with other countries. “By applying the necessary screening that we have been
conducting for domestic visitors, we can ensure that they will not transmit the
virus when they enter or exit from Bali.” Astawa concluded. Apart from that,
Astawa warns everyone that when the border reopens, international tourists must
be sent to the green zone sections of Covid-19.
