how bali got to me
You may have come across people in your life whether in school, college or work place who prefer keeping to themselves and are always focused on the work given to them, well I am one of them. Experiencing some hard times in my childhood I had to grow up fast and I didn't have time to take part in the fun as people in my surroundings would do. I never realized how quickly time passed from school, college to being a director of a well known multinational company. People would always see me as someone who takes work as his life. The only friend I ever made was my sister who was forcing me to visit Bali with her as she had to finalize her dream villa in Bali. She is the only person who can make me do things that I would never do other wise so I finally caved in.
It was the April of 2015 when we both arrived at Ngurah International Airport and some romanian guy was already waiting for us on the airport with our names on a placard. I wasn't expecting much but to my surprise Bali is very well developed, traffic was challenging no doubt. So we reached a very beautiful villa which was located next to a beautiful beach in Seminyak area of Bali. After two hours the real estate company known as Kibarer Property with whom my sister was in touch their representative came along. Turned out she already had viewings planned on the first day. For me it was a foolish idea to buy a property other than your country as who will manage it if you plan to go once or twice.
They were really professionals as the villas in Bali they showed to my sister were simply remarkable and I was getting impressed with how they were explaining and deal with my sister who can be a real drama. I was also noticing all the developments and investments that were being done in Bali. It was actually intriguing me as Bali seemed to have it all, there was culture, there was fun, there were big developments and there was a serenity in that place. Later on we had a dinner with owner of Kibarer Property who was a french guy and he seemed very friendly and also knowledgeable. So during that discussion he explained every questions that my sister had and also what she could turn her villa in Bali into. He was so upfront and blunt that it made me interested in exploring Bali myself to validate what he was telling us. It turned out that he wasn't using some sales pitches based on half true facts as they all seemed true.
The next few days we not only explored more villas but we also had fun exploring the Bali in depth. I had so much fun that for once I actually felt alive after a long time. Bali had something in that I needed long time ago, my behavior, my hesitation and my introvert nature seemed to take a back stand that my sister was pleasantly surprised. So after finalizing a villa in canggu area of Bali, we made through the initial process and got ready to go back. As I was leaving for the airport, I was thinking of what i felt here and how long it was going to last. So i decided that i want it to last as there was another villa that we both loved, I right away gave a call to the representative who was dealing with us to inquire about the details of that and see the possibility of the quickest transaction before I get back into being the old me.
In less than two months my sister and I were both proud owners of beautiful villas in Bali which turned out to be great investments as well. I took a leap of faith and got out of the comfort zone I was in. I am happy :) and i strongly encourage everyone who keep thinking that there is time, trust me there is never enough time.
