The Bali Tourism Agency has declared that international visitors
are now permitted to travel outside of Bali's three designated green zone
regions.
Following the recent reopening of the international travel corridor
for international visitors from 19 countries in order to revive Bali's economic
crisis, the Head of Bali's Tourism Agency, Putu Astawa, confirmed that visitors
who test negative for Covid-19 will be able to visit areas of the island
other than the three designated green zone areas of Nusa Dua, Sanur, and Ubud.
This
approval was granted after taking into account all of the safety measures that
have been put in place, as well as the severe international border entry
criteria for travellers. "After 5 days of quarantine, each tourist must
pass multiple screening steps, including producing documentation of a Covid-19
vaccination and proving negative with a PCR test." So, it should be enough
to keep them safe from Covid-19 during their vacation." Astawa stated this
on Tuesday (12/10).
Meanwhile,
government officials have put thousands of PeduliLindungi QR codes throughout
the island's tourism sites. Tourism sites such as tourist attractions, hotels,
retail malls, and cafes to keep them from reaching capacity and causing crowds
while they are open. "7,000 of the 10,000 PeduliLindungi QR codes that we
planned to deploy in all tourism locations have already been installed."
So, in the near future, tourists can use the PeduliLindungi tracing app before
approaching those locations." Astawa concluded.
