This week in Bali there are a myriad of events to occupy yourself with, ranging from the culture and arts scene to various venues commemorating their birthdays. NIGHTLIFE & ENTERTAINMENT EVENTS RIP CURL CUP PADANG PADANG OFFICIAL PARTY - 


Friday 27 July 2018This Friday scenic clifftop establishment Ulu Cliffhouse plays host to the official closing party for The Rip Curl Cup 2018 that is held at the famed Padang Padang break in the Bukit Peninsula. Those up to date with the surf scene will undoubtedly know The Rip Curl Cup as the longest running and arguably the most reputable surfing competition in Indonesia. As the only invitational contest for the World Surf League in Indonesia, participants included the crème de la crème of both international and local surfers. Starting from 4pm to late, with free entry and attractive drink deals on all night, entertainment for the night will be provided by renowned Indonesian rock band Rainbow & Cloud as wellas DJs Josh  Dr Willis.


 



FINN 2ND BIRTHDAY PARTY 


- Saturday 28 July 2018It is the birthday of one of Berawa’s main beach clubs and you’re invited! Starting from 9pm until 3am, Finn has a whole night filled of perks, prizes, fun and debauchery planned. THE W BALI’S SPF 2018 - 


Saturday 28 July 2018After success on their 2016 and 2017 SPF party, The W Bali brings back this popular day party for the third time this coming Saturday from 1pm until late. Despite securing famous DJs Derrick Carter and Tensnake for SPF 2018, the entrance for the event which will be held at Woo Bar is free. First starting to spin at the age of nine, Derrick Carter is known as one of the key players of the Chicago ‘90s house music wave. Whilst Tensnake boasts several international hits under his belt and a EP that was voted number 1 on djhistory.com. To complement these festivities there will also be a display of fireworks and a light show.



HARD ROCK CAFE BALI’S 20TH ANNIVERSARY - 


Saturday 28 July 2018This Saturday Hard Rock Cafe Bali celebrates two successful decades of occupancy on the island. Well known as one of the pioneers of melding entertaining live music with food in a fun but family friendly atmosphere, this weekend will be no different as the hotel pulls all the stops to bring you the best of live rock music from the local scene. Starting from 7pm onwards, the night will be open by the band The Hydrant before the main act Noah takes the stage. Secure your spot soon as ticket prices are IDR 375,000 for presale and IDR 450,000 on the day of the event.


COCOON BEACH CLUB’S 8TH ANNIVERSARY - 


Sunday 29th July 2018 It is that time of the year again, where Cocoon Beach Club throws its annual ‘Blue Pool Party’. Renowned for hosting one of the biggest pool parties in Bali held all year around, expect a lively affair at this Seminyak Double Six beachfront venue this Sunday from 1pm to 10pm. Tunes will be delivered by former Ministry of Sound DJ Igor Carmo, as well as a line up consisting of Michaelis, Yoga Yin, Suga Crush, Indra K and Andre Batz. There will be free entry, however for those looking for private bottle service there are private day beds, cabanas and VIP cabanas available for bookings. Note that this event is an 18 years old and over affair.


CULTURAL & THE ARTS EVENTSDA MARIA GALLERIA X KISS KISS - THE SECOND DATE -


Thursday 28 July to Sunday 28 July 2018Usually known for their tasty Italian osteria styled food, Da Maria is fast becoming a repeated presence in the arts scene. Using their spacious space to showcase the works of artists, Da Maria combines all aspects of what it is to ‘live’ under one roof by fusing food and wine with music, fashion, art and good company together. This Thursday to Sunday catch the exhibition by Snowflake aka artist Chris, who presents a series of photographs that challenge the conventions of what is regarded as ‘Nude Art’. Dinner will be available from 6pm and at 10pm the pace picks up as DJ Luciano Nieto starts spinning on the floor. 


7th BALI INTERNATIONAL CHOIR FESTIVAL 2018 - Monday 24 July to Sunday 28 July 2018


This annual event brings together the best of choir performances from all categories ranging from Mixed Youth to Pop & Jazz. Open to individuals and groups from both Indonesia and around the world, it is a great time for those passionate about singing to gather and build their skills as this week long affair will feature workshops in choral education and performance technicality, as well as the chance to be evaluated by a choral expert for future improvement.
