With pristine beaches, an abundance of nature and delicious food, Bali has it all. You’ll never spend a second being bored if you’re there, there’s just so much to do! Climb a volcano, learn to surf, go temple-hopping, explore the local cuisine, the list goes on and on. But when you come back to your hotel tired from a long day of adventure, you’ll want to relax in luxury. So skip staying at the hotel, stay at one of these villas instead! They can have up to 25 staff members, including a chef, a nanny, multiple butlers and chauffeurs, a yoga instructor and a villa manager. I myself stayed at one of these villas, and it was fantastic.

When I was in Bali a couple of weeks ago for a family vacation, I stayed at the Luna2 Private Hotel. It was like nothing I’d ever seen before - the 5-bedroomed villa was retro-themed and very chic, the view of the beach was simply gorgeous (especially at sunset!) and the staff were amazing, they were willing to go above and beyond for me and my family. The facilities at the villa include a wine cellar, a coffee machine, an Australian executive chef, a butler, a bartender, a babysitter, access to an event management service, and we could go to Canggu Club whenever we wanted! The location was very good too, it was right on the beach and we could walk to Ku De Ta. It was a little pricey, but definitely worth it.

Luna2 Private Hotel isn’t the only 5-star villa in Bali, there’s also The Edge. Aptly named for its location, The Edge sits on the edge of a cliff in Uluwatu, peering over the entire island. Needless to say, the view is breathtaking. The service and facilities are of the highest class, with plenty of activities to keep you and your party happily occupied. There’s a cinema, an infinity pool, a kids’ playroom, a gym, a rooftop bar, a study and more!

A slightly more affordable option with a similar view is the Villa Istana. While not as high up as The Edge, it still offers a splendid view of the Indian Ocean, white sand beaches and coral reefs from above. Facilities include a swimming pool, an infinity pool, a kids’ room, a media room and more! It’s the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail and watch the sun set over the beautiful island.

For those who are afraid of heights, perhaps the Villa Gajah Putih would be more to your liking. With 7 bedrooms, the lavishness of this villa has never been seen before - it has sprawling, gorgeous gardens, a private pool, and a coconut grove leading right up to the Indian Ocean. Sit back, relax, and allow all your worries to just melt away.

So, if you’re planning a trip to Bali, why stay at a hotel and deny yourself the pleasures of luxury? Book a villa, you won’t be disappointed.

Here is another villa I couldn't visit but looks magnificent!
