Last week Bali saw an increase in the shopping trends in the markets. This is due to the last 10 days of Ramadan as the day of festivity comes closer. The longest vacation "Cuti Bersama" is declared by the government from 11th June - 20 June 2018. It is one of the longest vacations Indonesia has had in a while. I Gusti Ngurah Rai is said to add 724 extra flight this month, a 96% increase from last year's Eid'l Fitr break. So do expect a big wave of tourists coming in to the island and, obviously, more traffic!

The Saturday was the last day of Galungan which is also known as the Kuningan. It is one of the holy events where it is believed that deities ascend back to heaven after ten days. A lot of 'gantung-gantungan' decorations hanging outside people's homes and temples could be seen across the Island.
