300 aussies stuck in bali air asia flight
Nothing is worse than getting stuck on your way back to home from a perfect vacation on an exotic Island. This is what happened to a flight carrying 300 plus Aussies who are stuck in Ngurah Rai airport at the moment. All of this started when a female passenger complained about a severe stomach pain. Flight D7206 of Air Asia just left Kuala Lumpur for the Gold Coast on Monday afternoon but after 2 hours it happened and then everything that could go wrong went wrong.
Passengers returned to the aircraft and it took off again from Bali after one hour only to land back again as another passenger who recently went through a surgery started bleeding. But these were just the medical emergencies, what went horribly wrong was that passengers upon landing again were informed by the Airline that the crew are now out of hours and they will have to disembark.
Passengers had to pay $57 of their own pocket to pay for the Indonesian Visa which however was refunded later on but that was just the beginning. As after clearing the customs, getting the baggage they had to wait for another 5 hours to be placed in the Hotels.
However when they returned back to the airport at 7 Pm next day and were allowed to board the craft at 11 pm because of the 9 No shows. Passengers have complained about the mismanagement and poor communication from the crew about any sort of update. The passengers then had to spend another 3.5 hours on board just to be informed about another disembarkation by the time airport was closed
.
They had to spend their time sleeping, waiting, resting at the departure gate since 3 Am as their next departure time is set to be 1:15 pm with a new crew from Kuala Lumpur. Frustrated and angry passengers have been venting out on twitter however no response from the CEO of Air Asia or the higher management has been given.
